Owl; The Smart Light By Fishtnk Design Factory

Toronto-based design studio Fishtnk is launching Owl at ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) next week in New York as their first product from their Smart Furnishing collection. Owl utilizes smart phone technology by allowing the user to control the lamp through the use of a mobile application that is available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry.

Cortical Chair By Fishtnk

Toronto design studio Fishtnk collaborated with Daniel Hambleton of SPM (Studio for Progressive Modeling) from Yolles Group to create the Cortical Chair using research that looks at how designers can bridge the gap between mass-customization furniture and products with large scale production. The Cortical Chair was featured at this year’s IDS12.
